Register today for two great Lunch ‘n’ Learns on problems with BMPs and for May’s BC CESCL course.
Erosion and Sediment Control Association of BC (ESCA BC) BMPs can cause frustration when not installed or managed properly. When attended to correctly, they can save time, money, and stress. Join our April BMP-themed Lunch ‘n’ Learns to hear how to handle them effectively.

April 14 Damon Sump’s “BMP Failures, Costs, Planning & Alternative Solutions” While nothing beats a well planned and executed ESC Plan for your project, there are plenty of ways for problems to popup. We will look at some real-world case studies that address ESC challenges as well as failures and strategies to avoid these issues while stewarding your hard earned dollars. Noon-1pm on Zoom Free for ESCA BC members, and $10 for non-members. Read More and Register

April 28 David Jenkins’ “Tire Washes – Choosing, Specifying & Using” With dozens of tire washes available, how do you choose the right one? Based on hard lessons learned over 20 years of managing sediment track out from 1 to 200-hectare projects, I will discuss how to choose, specify, place, and manage tire washes. Last BC CESCL Course Before Summer May 10-11, 2021 on Zoom 8:30am to 4:30pm (from your desk or sofa) The BC-CESCL is designed to help practitioners understand how to manage erosion and sediment control on their construction projects and understand their obligations under government legislation. Although it most relevant for the “boots on the ground” site personnel and new ESC professionals, site monitors often take the course and benefit from expanding their knowledge. The two-day course and exam covers erosion and sedimentation processes, regulatory requirements, understanding erosion and sediment control plans, best management practices, inspections, and record-keeping. Please note this course is not designed to develop knowledge and skills in ESC plan design. Read More and Register
