This “bubbling crude” could be from an episode of ” The Beverly Hillbillies”, but it isn’t. This is oil from a leaking underground storage tank we found on a Superfund cleanup project.

Underground Storage Tank
Digging dirt at an old waterfront industrial site feels just like a childhood Christmas morning. You know you are going to get a present but you don’t know what it is. We found this underground storage tank partially filled with oil. After testing the contents, profiling it, and sucking it out, we removed it to be filled with carbon dioxide gas so it could be cut up, cleaned and disposed of.
