The compost soil amendment was recycled yard waste. It was placed, tilled 8 to 12 inches into the existing soil, then trackwalked. Bonded fiber matrix was applied with seed and fertilizer. It was placed at the end of summer so we watered it with a water truck fitted with an adjustable fire nozzle.

More Cool Things to do With Compost

The best way to get grass growing quickly is to use soil amendment. This is composted yard waste, spread three inches thick. It will be tilled in the top six to 12 inches, track-walked, then sprayed with bonded fiber matrix, seed and 100% nitrogen fertilizer. We get the added benefit of increased water infiltration, reducing our storm water discharge volume.

Sorry to say, but this is really stupid. All of the cost to repair these was on the contractor and included placing additional soil amendment, re-grading and re-spraying bonded fiber matrix, seed and fertilizer.
